WT3 Installation

Installation Procedure: for WaveTrader and WT-ES Assistant

1. Your WaveTrader_user name.ZIP will be sent to you as an attachment via email delivery.
     (Right click on the attachment and save it to a FOLDER so you can remember where it is in the future, it maybe
      necessary for you to activate the installation program in the future if you transfer your eSignal to another computer
      or receive any updates from us in the future. As this is your personal id program keep a copy of the file.)
2.  Shut down your eSignal program and close any other windows you may have open other than your email client.
3.  Next you double right click on the email attachment and select OPEN to download the files. This will
     normally activate the automatic installation program. If not go to step 5.
     YOUR WT files will be installed in your eSignal PROGRAM for access from within the aSignal environment.
4.  Follow the installation instructions in step 6.

5.  If the email attachment downloads and loads the WINZIP program then goto step 6
.
6.  RIGHT CLICK on the file name and select        OPEN to have it run.
      (1) At first you will see an acceptance page where you should check the box  [] I accept the terms in the licence Agreement.
      (2) Once done an INSTALL box will pop up for you to click.
      (3) The installation will proceed.
      (4) When the installation is complete you will be asked to REBOOT WINDOWS.
      (5) Close all programs and RESTART your computer – this is a necessary step.

      After you have REBOOTED YOUR COMPUTER  – reconnect to your ISP and then start your eSignal Advanced Charts program.

NOTE to Windows Vista/Windows 7 users:
Windows Vista/Windows 7 will need to be launched to “Run as Administrator”
To run WT in Windows Vista/Windows 7 right click on the eSignal button from windows and select “Run as Administrator” before launching eSignal. To set this permanently, right click and select Properties/ Advanced and select “Run as Administrator” and then click OK.

7.  From ESignal Advanced Charts with a chart loaded.
      1st CHECK YOUR SETTINGS
      Select – TOOLS
      Select – EFS
      Select – Settings
      Edit Formula Root path to C:\Program Files\eSignal\Formulas
      Edit Formula Output Root path to C:\Program Files\eSignal\FormulaOutput   
      In the PERFORMANCE BOX insure that the “Make all formulas compute on the close
       (rather than tick-by-tick) –  is UNCHECKED

8.   To Run the WaveTrader
      Select – Chart Options pull down menu
      Select – FORMULAS
      Select – the name of your file – WaveTrader_username.efs to load it.

9.  THINGS TO DO NEXT

      1. Enter the SESSION trading hours, symbol  TICK size, TICK numeric format.
      2. Create a time template of 500 bars for the WT II TREND WAVE routines and install it to each eSignal page you have running WT II.
      3. The WT III requires the same time template to run the Globex HI and LO drawing tools on an ES day session chart.

On the first selection of a new ticker symbol which WT has no data information for you will be prompted for a tick size and the trading hours before you can load the WaveTrader II efs for that SYMBOL. These instructions are al covered in GETTING STARTED
